The Insight – Alcohol a major health problem in Ghana.



the_insight_03_10_2016Ghana is said to have made significant gains in combating HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis yet records an increase in suicide and other diseases related to alcohol intake.

This is according to a new study.  Malaria rates fell 26 percentages while the new rate of HIV infections dropped from 2.2 new cases per 1,000 to only 1 case in the year 2000 to only 1 case per 1,000.

The study conducted by The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) an independent global health research center at the University of Washington scored Ghana 43 on the sustainable development goal.


2016 presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has promised to establish gold refinery company in their country when voted into power.

Dr. Nduom made the promise when he addressed over one thousand party supporters and sympathizers at the mammoth rally at Simpa, a suburb of Tarkwa Nsuaem municipality in the Western Region.

GFA under investigation

Minister for Youth and Sports has revealed that his ministry has initiated talks with security agencies in the country with the aim of investigating allegations of corruption in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.

Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, in an interaction with members of Football African Arena about his engagement of security agencies on the matter of corruption in the GPL said soon you will see what will happen.
