Prez Mahama commissions Digital Center; promises jobs for the youth
President Mahama on Wednesday commissioned the Accra Digital Centre which is set to provide about 10, 000 job opportunities for the youth.
The Center which will provide data support for both private and public institutions will also be the main backbone for government’s ICT infrastructure.
Speaking at the commissioning, President Mahama said the project is an attestation of his government’s commitment towards expanding infrastructure in the country.
“This is what I mean when I say we are changing lives and transforming Ghana,” he said.
Mr. Mahama also noted that efforts by government to resolve the challenges in the power front has helped in improving the business climate in the country.
According to him, government will continue to pursue programs that will enhance the doing of business in Ghana, stressing prudent policies by his government has resulted in the local currency becoming the best performing in West Africa.
“Stabilising the economy of the country will see accelerated growth of some 8 per cent next year… Ghana is rising,” he said.
