LMVCA, AFAG, others to shake the Ashanti region with “Yempene” Demo.

The Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) in collaboration with Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA), Concern Youth for Progress ( CYFOP ) ,Movement for Change, Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) and Decent Media Communicators will on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 hold the nation hostage with their gargantuan demonstration in the Ashanti region.
The demonstration is under the theme, “Baamuya” ( Hausa ) “Yempene” ( Twi ) We won’t Understand (English) is to buttress the Electoral Commission (EC) to change voters register to ensure free and fair election.
Demonstrators are to report at 6: 00 am at Suame roundabout-Adventist school opposite the Police station.
The group urged Ghanaians to come in their numbers to support so as to force the EC to give the nation a credible register.
Recently, Let My Vote Count Alliance issued a one-week ultimatum to the EC to tell the people of Ghana when and how it will conduct the validation exercise to deliver a credible register to the citizens and warned that they will take action should the EC exceeds its one-week ultimatum.
“And this time around, the demonstrations we stage will be bigger and stronger, and no amount of intimidation from the police or the anti-democracy thugs will deter us. We have both the outrage and the inflamed determination of the nation behind us”.
