The West Africa Network for Peace building (WANEP) a leading Regional peace building organization, has urged the international community to put an eye on Togo, in order to prevent the ongoing unrest from degenerating into a conflict situation.
Mr Chukuemeka B. Eze, the Executive Director of WANEP said the international community should be concerned about Togo because when the state fails to protect its citizens under the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) norm, which all countries of the world have assented to it was the responsibility of the international community to apply that R2P Act to Togo.
…we will force him to contest in 2020 – Yamin
A leading activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joseph Yamin has said that former President John Dramani Mahama has no option to contesting the 2020 presidential elections.
It is not up to him to decide. He is a member of the party and he has a responsibility to accept the wishes of the party.
We will force him to join the 2020 presidential contest he said. Speaking on Atinka FM, Mr Yamin said many party loyalists are determined to make sure that former President Mahama serves his full two terms in office and we are not looking for his approval.
He said he has joined the race for the leadership of the Ashanti Regional branch of the party for the sole purpose of returning President Mahama to power.
General indiscipline among some Nurses in Government health facilities in the country has been identified as one of the major factors that is eroding the good image of the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
Dr Abdul Razak Dokurugu, the Deputy Director of the GHS in charge of Clinical Health of the Upper East Region made the observation during a joint matriculation ceremony held for new students of the Zuarungu Nursing Training and the Presbyterian Nursing Training College at Zuarungu.
