Hearts News – Thomas Abbey joins Stars in Camp.

 

Ghana Black Coach, Kwesi Appiah has invited Accra Hearts of Oak’s captain Thomas Abbey to join the Black Stars B team currently in camp at Prampram preparing for the upcoming 2018 CHAN qualifiers and the WAFU tournament to be hosted by Ghana in September this year.

The Hearts captain joins the National Team B side days after the handlers of the team received massive criticism for leaving him out of the squad because of his current good form for the Phobians.

Thomas Abbey’s inclusion brings to a total of four Hearts players currently in the Black Stars B Team camped at Prampram preparing ahead of upcoming international assignments.

Thomas Abbey is suspended for the clash having picked up three yellow cards in the league.  Robin Gnagen is fit and very likely to return to first team action against the lower league side.

Anthony Nimo will face a fitness test whilst strikers Bright Lukman, Alex Kouami.  Musah Inusah, Richard Yamoah and Agbshie Dotse remain out.

Hearts strike improved deal with GOIL

Accra Hearts of Oak sporting club limited on Wednesday, 17 May, 2017 sealed an improved deal with petroleum giants, Ghana Oil Limited- GOIL.

The new two year deal is an improvement on the initial one year agreement which was signed between the two parties last year.

The agreement shall be for a period of Two years from the date of its execution and subject to renewal by mutual agreement by the parties involved.

Hearts- Kotoko May Day cup return game postponed

Organizers of the 2017 May-Day Cup Match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed that the return leg between the two sides has been postponed to 1 October, 2017.

The two teams were supposed to play the return leg in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, 28 May 2017.

Hearts won the first leg 3-1 played on Monday 1 May, 2017 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
