Hearts News – Dally Gagba dragged to court.

The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak sporting club limited has dragged referee Emmanuel Dally Gagba to court the (Review Committee) of the Ghana Football Association for his performance to be reviewed following a controversial penalty he awarded Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the outstanding league game between the two played last Sunday in Kumasi.

Hearts took the lead through Kwame Kizito but Kotoko equalized midway through the second half after referee Gagba surprisingly awarded a penalty to the hosts.

Video evidence made available after the game has clearly indicated that the flying ball in fact was head out by Hearts midfielder Leonard Tawiah.

The Hearts management is preying on the Review committee to review the referee’s performance on the day since they believe he had his decision wrong thereby denying Hearts of a Premier League double over their arch rivals, Asante Kotoko.

Hearts demand report on Referee Agbovi

Accra Hearts of Oak is yet to receive any communique from the Review committee after it reported the conduct of Referee William Agbovi to it.

Agbovi was the center man when Hearts played Asante Kotoko in this year’s president’s cup at the Baba Yara Sports stadium – Kumasi last month.

In the first game which was rained off on Sunday, July 2, 2017 referee William Agbovi’s performance was indeed below par and Hearts felt not ensuring that the rules of the game were respected, Hearts had to report this conduct to the Review Committee to review his performance.

…sympathy officiating earns Kotoko a point

Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 draw game by Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the rescheduled match day 23 Ghana Premier League game played in Kumasi last Sunday.

Kwame Kizito put Hearts on course for victory with a close range finish, tapping home Fatawu Mohammed’s inviting pass after magical work by Winful Cobbinah, to break the deadlock on the hour mark.

But referee Emmanuel Dally Gagba controversially pointed to the spot when Leonard Tawiah appeared to cleanly head the ball away from danger in the 79th minute.
