Messi Returns For El Clasico: Who Wins?
A Palpaple sense of optimism seems to be growing in Barcelona. The Catalans may have only a three-point margin going into the first Clasico of the season, but the confidence that they can extend it on Saturday is building. At the moment, good news is seemingly never-ending for the Blaugrana: the team is beginning to hit its stride, big players are in the best form of their career and the biggest of them all, Lionel Messi, has just returned to training.
When contrasted with Real Madrid’s poor form and constant tripsto the physio room, it is easy to get carried away, but would it perhaps be wise for supporters of the league champions to temper their expectations in the build-up to the Bernabeu?
Chelsea Chief Faces Sack Following Failed £53m Signings
Chelsea’s Technical Director, Michael Emenalo is facing the sack following his recent activity in the transfer market. The transfer guru has made a number of mistakes over the past couple of seasons, with a number of high-profile flops having come and gone. The Sun Claim arrivals such as; Filipe Luis, Papy Djilobodji, Mohamed Salah, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado could spell the end for Emenalo at Chelsea.
Only center-half Djilobodji and on-loan Monaco striker, Falcao are currently still at the club, but have both struggle to break into the first team. Chelsea have endured a nightmare start to the season this term as the Premier League Champions sit 16th in the standings with seven defeats in 12 outings.
Stars, Make Us Proud
Barely one year after the senior national team, the Black Stars, were forced to relocate from the Baba Yara Stadium after an uninspiring drawn game against the Cranes of Uganda in an AFCON qualifier, the team return to the same venue tomorrow for a crucial world cup elimination duel against little-fancied Comoro Island.
Incidentally, the team’s return will also mark the first outing at the famous Baba Yara Stadium for manager Avram Grant since his appointment in November, last year, and this should add another dimension to the tricky affair. Indeed, the Stars had to relocate to the Tamale Sports Stadium for their subsequent matches due to boos from discontent Kumasi fans as a result of their Stars abysmal performance at the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
